Giving Thanks

Today is Elliot's first Thanksgiving. It was just the three of us and it felt a little weird not to be with family. But we did have a very nice meal. Since our kitchen is packed for our move next weekend, we went to the Mansion at Judge's Hill here in Austin for a beautiful holiday lunch. Elliot enjoyed garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes with apples and cranberry relish. He didn't really like the sea bass or lamb, but he thought the turkey gravy and ham were tasty. Hard to eat with only two teeth but he managed. I loved the green bean casserole. Like most southern dishes it's not too good for you but very delicious.

We are thankful for a lot this year. A healthy, beautiful boy, family we adore, moving next week to a new home, jobs we enjoy, the means to buy things we need. We are grateful to have so many blessings in our everyday life.

Hello Elliot,
This morning we woke up to over a foot of snow in Colorado. I hope we will have a white Christmas while you are here. We are so looking forward to having you and your mom and dad home for a few weeks. Your entire family is excited to spend your first Christmas with you.
I am sure Santa will find you because we all know you have been a very good little boy.
This week is going to be a very busy week for your mom and dad. You will be moving into a new home. Lots more room for you and Abby to roam!!! It is going to be so nice for all of you.
Tell your mom and dad we certainly enjoy all the photos and videos they send. I know how busy they are, and we appreciate them taking the time to send us pictures of our sweet little man.
See you in a few weeks. Nana loves you!
